Russian 'support' of Ukrainian rebels shows the short-sighted aesthetic-driven military policy of the U.S. and NATO driven by abstract existential phobias, such that when humanitarian action is needed to prevent aggressive outrages, they are not only fiscally restrained but politically restrained by their war-ravaged populations who see themselves as political and economic fodder for indifferent to predatory interests hostile to their own existential well-being
